ZWAANSWYK HIGH SCHOOL CURRICULUM

English is the medium of instruction at Zwaanswyk High School. We follow the CAPS (Curriculum Assessment Policy Statement) as promulgated and prescribed by the Minister of Basic Education of South Africa in 2012.

GRADES 10, 11 and 12 (F.E.T. PHASE)

Compulsory subjects for all FET learners

English, Home Language
Afrikaans, First Additional Language
Life Orientation

All learners are obligated to do pursue
Mathematics in Grade 10

Learners are then invited to move to Mathematical Literacy in Grade 11

In addition to the four subjects mentioned above, learners choose any three of the following: Accounting Business Studies Consumer Studies Geography History Life Sciences Physical Sciences
Our Grade 10, 11 and 12 learners are allowed to pursue Visual Art or Design as an 8^thsubject through the Peter Clarke Art Centre in Newlands.
